The Clifton Park Revenge Tour-Everything you expected and More

My post as we entered the new year provided everybody what we might expect in Clifton Park with the Revenge Tour in Clifton Park. It was easy to know what to expect considering the same people that were involved in creating chaos in town government a few years ago in a Coup attempt to take over the town are now involved in the current takeover attempt. I thought that post was very revealing, and I appreciate the several thousand people who took time to read it. But, after the first couple town board meetings and the clandestine shenanigans taking place in town hall, my post clearly undersold the ensuing chaos one may expect.

The first meeting included expunging of town records, removing town employees from CSEA union membership, 6-month appointments for employees when a one-year appointment is standard, removing dedicated volunteers from town committees, settling lawsuits against the town to cover up the highway superintendent’s misdeeds, appointments of former town board members who previously resigned from elected office and numerous other incredible steps. These actions are questionable at best and there will be more to come in response to these actions. I will have much more information about these matters soon. For more information, you can watch the meetings on the town’s YouTube channel and read the agendas online. The large number of people attending and watching the meetings this year has been great to see.

A recent “news” story is another throwback to the previous attempted Coup of town government. False narratives expressed with a compliant reporter, were a regular occurrence and now its back. It’s a good attempt to divert people from what is actually happening. Use fake news to divert people from the chaos you are creating. The story spoke of my accident in a town vehicle in September. During the afternoon, I was in the roundabout at Routes 146/146a driving back to town hall. As I passed the incoming east bound lanes a driver did not yield to cars in the roundabout and drove straight into the roundabout. I happened to be the lucky recipient of a very hard hit to the right rear quarter panel, quickly turning the car. The car ended up over the curb on the grass and the crossing sign at the location was lodged in the engine compartment. The “hook” of the story had something to do with reporting the accident. Well, I knew about the accident first so informing the Supervisor was accomplished. The appropriate department head was notified because he happened to be driving by, saw the aftermath and stopped to see if I was ok. He then drove me back to town hall. So that reporting box was checked. The police contacted a towing company, and a flatbed took the car to town hall where it sat until the standard insurance review process was completed. The car was deemed totaled by the insurance company (an easy call) and the town was issued a check for the vehicle. According to the story the other driver was ticketed. I was shaken up a bit by the hard hit and cleared. Now all these months later an accident (which the town has on occasion) is a “news” story.

More of the same and More chaos to come.
