Another complete failure of the Clifton Park Highway Superintendent to do his job has led to my needing to take action make a project to plan and construct a new Highway Garage a priority. This has been a repetitive theme and further evidence this is an elected official who is unwilling or unable to perform the basic responsibilities of his position. The information included in this post are the initial letter sent to the Highway Superintendent that includes details and a timeline of the failed process to date of building a new garage. At the end of the letter, I requested any information that may be available about the project. This letter was answered with the usual response–a press release. Therefore, I later issued a press release as well. In familiar fashion, a project or responsibility of the Highway Superintendent languishes without progress and further time is wasted as he attempts to obscure his failures and grab the vacuous attention he craves. I have assembled a committee of professionals that lead various departments in Town Government, who have experience and expertise in areas of importance to planning and building a new Highway Garage. More importantly, our focus will be completing the task in a timely manner and not instigating false controversies, trying to bring attention to ourselves and wasting staff time with useless resolution requests devoid of necessary information.
