Clifton Park News Article from 1966 about Home Building

I was given this article yesterday from the Schenectady Union Star Newspaper dated May 19, 1966. From a personal perspective when the article was written my Dad was graduating from college and I was not a thought yet. It states that the Town now had a population of 8400 compared to the census of 4416 in 1960. Robert Van Patten describes that he now had 90 homes built in Country Knolls North with acreage available for several thousand more. Clifton Knolls’ 650 homes were built. By the end of the 1980s the Town hit 30,000 in total population. We are now over 36,000. When Clifton Park experienced this growth the County was less populated overall and our neighbors were much smaller in population than they are now. With the growth we experienced in the 60s and 70s it explains how there were more students at Shen in 1976 than the current enrollment.
